Sandro Tonali's former £4 million Newcastle home is now being rented for £13,000 a month after failing to sell. The six-bedroom Edwardian-style mansion in Jesmond, a property that has previously housed other Newcastle United players, features an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym, games room, and eight bathrooms.

Timeline of the property's market status

The property was listed for sale in July 2024, a fortnight after Tonali’s transfer to Tottenham Hotspur. After failing to attract a buyer, it was taken off the market. The Italian midfielder, who joined Newcastle from AC Milan in 2023, was a firm favourite with former manager Eddie Howe and the club's supporters before his departure.

Tonali's early Tottenham form

Tonali has not scored or assisted in Tottenham's opening five Premier League games this season, a run which includes a match against his former club. Spurs have yet to win a league game, recording two draws and three defeats to sit bottom of the table. Tonali is reportedly earning £275,000 per week in North London.

Newcastle United, meanwhile, sit 9th in the Premier League with 8 points from their first five matches. Their recent form reads three wins, one draw, and one defeat. Eddie Howe's successor has guided the team to a solid start, with the next challenge an away trip to face Coventry City on 12 October. The Jesmond mansion, with its open-plan kitchen and manicured gardens, is currently generating income as a high-end rental.
