Newcastle United Transfer Boost: €5m Bid for Fikayo Tomori

Newcastle United have submitted an initial bid of €15m for AC Milan's Fikayo Tomori. The Magpies are keen to sign the centre-back, who has fallen down the pecking order at San Siro.

The 28-year-old centre-back is in the UK for pre-season with Milan and is waiting for a concrete update from his agent. Tomori is attracting interest from several clubs, including Coventry City, Hull City, and West Ham United.

Newcastle United's bid shows their determination to bring Fikayo Tomori to St James' Park. However, AC Milan are likely to reject the offer and seek €20m including bonuses.

The distance between the two clubs' valuations isn't unsurmountable, and there will be further negotiations between the clubs to reduce the gap. AC Milan could request Newcastle United to improve their offer slightly during new contact in the next few hours.

Fikayo Tomori's contract lasts until 2027, and Transfermarkt value him at €17m. Milan have to sell Tomori in this window to avoid losing him for free next year. This could let Newcastle United find an agreement for less than €20m with bonuses.

Tomori wants to leave AC Milan, and therefore, the Tyneside club agreeing personal terms with him is unlikely to be an issue.

League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 12th in Premier League, 49 pts, 14W-7D-17L from 38 games, recent form LWDWL.

Newcastle United's transfer activity is heating up, and the Magpies are keen to strengthen their squad. Will they secure the deal for Fikayo Tomori, or will AC Milan hold out for a higher offer?
