Newcastle United have submitted an official offer to sign Tottenham midfielder Archie Gray. The Magpies are keen to secure the signature of the highly-rated youngster.
Newcastle United finished the season in 12th place, with 49 points from 38 games, and a recent form of LWDWL. They scored 53 goals and conceded 55, resulting in a -2 goal difference. The team is 36 points behind leaders Arsenal.
Archie Gray is described as a 'future £100m player' by Como scout Ben Mattinson. With Tottenham pushing to sign multiple midfielders, including Newcastle's Sandro Tonali, Gray may find himself down the pecking order.
Gray has a big decision to make regarding his future. Tottenham have already rejected Newcastle's initial bid, but the Magpies remain interested. If Newcastle were to sanction a deal for Tonali to join Tottenham, it could impact their stance on Gray.
