Newcastle United have reportedly made an offer to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as he prepares to leave the Serie A giants over the coming weeks. The Magpies are expecting a hectic summer transfer window and although manager Eddie Howe seemed to hint a striker is not on the agenda, there have still been links with a number of frontmen in recent weeks. When asked if he would look to strengthen his options for the lead role in attacking last month, the United manager said: "Certainly not at the moment because in terms of striker numbers, we've got healthy numbers in that position. It's been a challenge for us trying to find the right balance, trying to find a way to continually score goals and create the amount of chances that we want to. I don't think we're quite there yet. I think we've got work to do in that area." Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed Newcastle are interested in the Serbia international and have suggested Vlahovic's agent and father have 'listened to a proposal' from Newcastle. However, there is serious competition for the striker with the same report stating Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have also made offers for his services as he approaches the final three weeks of his current contract with Juve. The Serie A giants are said to be preparing 'one last attempt' to agree a new deal with Vlahovic - but are described as pessimistic over their chances of reaching a compromise as they refuse to go beyond an offer of €6m and bonuses. That comes just days after Juve's director of football Giorgio Chiellini appeared to confirm the striker would be leaving the club this summer and delivered a major hint he would make a move abroad. As per Football Italia, the former Italy defender said: "I am very sad, he cared about Juve right up to the last minute. He is a serious professional. With these figures, he won't remain in Italy, so it is only fair and legitimate that he is seeking a different type of salary." The report also claims Juve have turned their focus towards a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani, who scored five goals and provided four assists during a season-long loan spell with Tottenham Hotspur last season. The 32-times capped France international spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan with Juve and proved to be a major success by scoring ten goals in 22 appearances during that time.
