Newcastle United is working with local teams to improve coaching. The Newcastle Coaches Network brings together coaches from Newcastle United, the Newcastle Eagles, and Newcastle Red Bulls to share ideas and experiences.
The network provides regular opportunities for coaches to explain their methodologies and learn from each other. Neil Winskill, Newcastle United's head of technical development, says: "There's so much stuff you can learn; you just have to put yourself out there."
The collaboration has led to practical sessions, such as a recent workshop with the Newcastle Eagles on footwork and defending. | Team | Sport | | Newcastle United | Football | | Newcastle Eagles | Basketball | | Newcastle Red Bulls | Rugby Union |
The network has been in existence since last year and has helped to build a culture of collaboration and mutual growth among the city's top clubs.
